Tiger Woods has once again seized the spotlight as he gears up for his comeback at the 2023 Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.

The 15-time major champion, making his first appearance since his Masters withdrawal and subtalar fusion surgery nearly eight months ago, is not only making waves with his return but also with his noticeably muscular physique.

Woods plans to play one tournament per month in 2024

In a press conference ahead of the tournament, Woods, who looked impressively beefed, addressed his improved health and ambitious plans for the upcoming golf season.

Despite a noticeable limp, the golf icon remains determined to make a big splash at the Hero World Challenge, a non-official PGA Tour event benefiting his TGR Foundation.

"I think that best scenario would be maybe a tournament a month," Woods revealed during the media event.

"I think that's realistic. Now, I need to get myself ready for all that. I think this week is a big step in that direction."

Considering the new PGA Tour calendar, Woods aims for seven or eight starts in 2024.

This may seem modest, but it marks a significant shift for a player who has participated in just eight tournaments between September 2020 and now, playing more than seven events in only three of the last nine seasons.

The Hero World Challenge will take place this weekend in Albany, Bahamas.

The tournament will boast a star-studded lineup, featuring golf luminaries such as Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, and Viktor Hovland.

Woods, hosting the tournament that benefits his foundation, is not just returning to the course; he's setting the stage for a potential resurgence in the competitive golf scene.
