Milwaukee Brewers assigned Brantley to the West Virginia Power of the Class A South Atlantic in 2006.
He had surgery to correct a sports hernia later in the 2012 season. Then, he had a breakthrough in 2013, batting .284 with 158 hits, 10 home runs, 73 RBIs, and stolen bases 17 in 2012.
