Ireland Baldwin took to social media to use her personal experience as inspiration to others that are going through this as well. The model celebrated a worthy-of-praise milestone, six years since beating her eating disorders, and she wanted to help her followers, giving everyone stumbling upon her candid message some much-needed moral support.

The said message was shared in the form of a video, on the 24 year old’s Instagram account, and she captioned it with: ‘Got a call from my old program yesterday… 6 years 🎉.’

In the video itself, Ireland Baldwin went into more detail, explaining that she ‘Wanted to announce that today’s the 15th of August, and it marks 6 years that I’ve been free of anorexia and bulimia and all my other food compulsion and eating disorders that I’ve struggled through for many years. And today marks 6 years. So, you can do it.’

As you can imagine, a lot of people really appreciated her message and many showered her with love in the comment section, her cousin, Hailey Baldwin, included!

The fellow model wrote: ‘YES! Love you!’

This isn’t the first time that Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger’s daughter opens up about her past struggle with eating disorders.

Back in August of 2018, she took to the same platform to confess that she would ‘eat a meal or more like one bite and just have to run to the nearest bathroom or find some digestive pills or run until I could not feel my legs right before bed. Anytime anyone told me that I was too tall or too fat to have done a job, I’d run on a treadmill for the whole duration of at least 3 episodes of Friday Night Lights.’

She went on to stress that it took her a long time to find self-love but thankfully, it looks like she’s doing great today!
