Dylan Llewellyn, star of Derry Girls, Call the Midwife and Hollyoaks, has apologised for ghosting a girl he matched with on Tinder.

In a viral TikTok video the actor, 28, replied to TikToker Colony Moloney, who bemoaned the fact Dylan never replied to her on the dating app.

"When I matched with the guy from Derry Girls and he ghosted me," Colony wrote in the caption while miming the lyrics: "You Know what they say, God loves a chance. F***ing let me in I won't take no for an answer."

In a duet, where TikTok users' videos play alongside one another, Dylan mimed the same lyrics, writing in the caption: "Sorry xx".

TikTok commenters had a field day with the story, with one writing: "The wee little English fella has some explaining to do."

Another wrote: "He's English, you dodged a bullet babe."

"It's because he had to take Erin to the dance," commented a third.
