He was a brilliant entrepreneur and businessman who also established a private foundation to distribute funding to worthy charities. Allen was known for his philanthropy and for helping boost research projects to help find a cure for cancer, which ultimately took his life. Her voice was distinctive and well-known to her fans. She is best known for her performances in “Hello, Dolly!” in 1964, and “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” with Marilyn Monroe in 1949. Her last Broadway performance was in the role of Dolly in 1995.
